Looking For

I am looking for a cover band. No originals. I absolutely suck at writing music, but I am actually quite good at emulating various vocal styles, and tones. I have a total analytical left brain. I am very good at noticing subtle things in someones vocal style or tone and duplicating those things.

Bio

I'm 41 years young. I have a good stable career, and I just want to be in a casual cover band. Preferably music from 1990ish to about 2005ish. I have tried repeatedly over the years to get something off the ground, but it seems that most people want to do this whole originals rock star life, and that just isn't what I want to do. I play some rhythm guitar and a little bit of bass. My talent lies in my vocal abilities though. I love to sing. I do it all the time. My aunt (who is a pretty damn good vocalist and guitar player) heard me belt out "real thing" by AIC on a recent road trip and asked me why I'm not in a working band. I told her that I haven't found a group of people that have the same aspirations as me. This is not at all a money making thing for me. I like to play. That's all I really want.
