Bass Player

Bio

This is an original music project with a wide variety of styles. As you listen to the snippets (samples) of the sound throughout you can generate your own opinion of what the styles is in your prospective. Currently, the writing process consists of all the players being able to record a track and send the ideas back and forth, notes are taken, and then a final version of the tracks is drafted for reference. This process usually starts with a player who has a general idea gathered together and then shared.
Sometimes other players will suggest arranging parts to create a formatting idea. Sometimes this is shared by tracking little “play along” to help share the idea in the players mind. In short, this is a power tool the project using to convey ideas back and forth and is a required function. We do get together in person but through this writing process, most of the work is done remotely to allow time for player to reflect and compose their ideas with substance.

The group’s efforts are to create a great album. The longer style songs are preferred as this is not really a standardized project structuring pop radio trash. The idea generally revolves around 7 ish good tracks with some cool interludes and individual excerpts. It was suggested, by a team member to allow all the players to compose a 1-4 ish track with complete creative freedom. The goal is to have a general sound of the individuals work stay within the parameters of the genre. The idea leaves the writer left with complete creative control of making something theirs. As artist, this can be anything appeasing to the ear.
Once all the tracks are really dialed in and everyone had time to share and adjust all the moving pictures, the material will be tracked professionally and engineered as well. Once this is achieved, we can all come together and start the formal discussion of live applications. Playing lives show is something we want to do, but most importantly, we want to stand behind something powerful and really good! All of the players have a grounded lifestyle and understand the responsibilities of life.

Influences

Currently the players; Will the guitarist in Nearly NH, Drew the Drummer in Concord NH and Cam the singer in northern CT, work remotely using the files sharing platform through a google drive. When players do get together, it is usual perform at the drummers location as he has a set up to allow player to have personal monitor references to eliminate all the “turn up, turn down” things we all enjoy so much. When it is beneficial for everyone to meet for the in-person sessions, we do it. How often really depends on how much we need to cover in the “live” atmosphere, as things are strange with the pandemic.
The objective of the sound is to capture all the players working together to unify the sound rather than one particular instrument defining the sound. We all work as a team and write in this manor to allow the sound to be full. It means we all take into consideration what parts we what to contribute, as some statements call for less and others call for more. If exchanging files is newer to your situation we are more than happy to share what has worked for us, so please don’t feel shy to ask questions.
